Climbing Bandai-san

Here's another one we can take off our list of things to do: climbing Bandai-san. Furukawa-san and Muraoka-san join us. Quite an adventure, during our walk we learned that neither one of them had been on a walk longer than two hours

We start easy, with a walk along the five colored lakes. Bandai-san is in front of us and we cannot imagine climbing it. It looks very steep, is it really possible to walk to the top?
Luckily we can walk most of the way in the shade, with every now and then an open part where we can enjoy the magnificent view. Still we hear complaints about the heat, atsui ne?!...
But, we make it to the top, and have a free view all around. It is breathtaking, so beautiful.
We take a different route down. Also decending is hard work. The total hike took around 8 hours, but was very much worth it.
